Clavicle
The clavicle forms the ventral portion of the shoulder girdle. It is a long bone curved like an italic “S”, situated almost horizontally just above the first rib. It articulates medially with the manubrium of the sternum and laterally with the acromion of the scapula. It has two ends, two faces and two edges.

- Medial epiphysis – sternal and more voluminous
- Lateral Epiphysis – acromial and flatter
The clavicle articulates with two bones: scapula and sternum.
