Douglas Fabiano Lenz Nemos has a degree in Biological Sciences and a postgraduate degree in Teaching in Higher Education. He was born in Porto Alegre-RS and is 40 years old (although he looks much older, as he says em>). He has been working as a technician in Anatomy and Necropsy for 19 years in higher education institutions in RS. He is currently a Technician in Anatomy and Necropsy at the Department of Morphological Sciences at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS, since 2003. At the moment, he works in the Institution's Comparative Anatomy Laboratory.
Provides consultancy in the creation, assembly and maintenance of human and comparative anatomy laboratories, as well as other laboratories in the initial disciplines of the health area, as well as training for technical and teaching staff. It is noteworthy that the laboratories designed by him and operating in Brazil were highly regarded by the MEC
He has been a Taxidermist for 15 years, teaches courses and workshops in the area of taxidermy of vertebrates, assembly of skeletons and creation of zoology museums. Some of these courses and workshops are already permanent activities on the agenda of extension courses and academic weeks at universities in the South of the country. He also gives courses and lectures on Human Anatomy in high schools and technical courses.
But as life is not just work, Douglas' hobby is sport fishing (Fly Fishing) and also model airplane flying, both practiced for over 20 years. He attends Clube Conesul de Modelismo in the city of Portão, where he is part of the club's board. since its inception.
